My vote is no. This place was created for all these junk posts and flaming posts that are here; the posts that don't belong in the main forum. Just because some guys decide to make it their home and not post in the sports forums, the forums in which were intended for picks, is not reason to help them out. ANy other thoughts? I say keep the garbage here. It's what it was inteded for.
I figure that this site was created with the slogan "Your RX for Gaming & Sporting Information" and forums created to signify the specific sports information you wish to share. I have no idea what these people have with trying to spread information in the correct forum, but I notice most of them down here flame more than anything. I don't see why they must be contradictory to the site's intent.
I know the RR has some sharps, but I don't see a reason to try to convert this into a capping forum when those are already created. There are specifically designed forums for what you guys do here with the picks. For shooting the shit, this is the place intended. It's also the place intended for the junk posts, which I'm assuming you were aware of when you decided to congegate here. I have no problem with another one being made for it, but I'd like to see some of you guys be contributors more toward the sports forums with your picks instead of hiding them down here. I just don't see reasoning behind it.
As far as I can tell, you guys don't discuss baseball down here. You just post your picks. Therefore, couldn't you start posting your picks in the correct forum and discuss things however you have been doing (MSN, AOL, email, however...)? Just seems really contradictory to what the site is intended for; being down here and not really wanting to converse or share with people who may benefit from your knowledge.
Writeups are unnecessary a lot of times. I could do a great write up for both sides on every game. Most of the guys here know where to get all the info. We've already scoured over all the pitchers, stats, weather and umpire reports. Write ups are great if you see something that really stands out.

That was your quote. I can understand that, but seeing as no sports-related talking is done in the RR, why not post your picks in the baseball forum and continue talking through whatever means you discuss games. The RR plays no part in your sport-related discussions as far as I can fathom.
